Barack Obama congratulates Nepalis on Constitution Day
The United States President Barack Obama on Sunday congratulated all Nepalis on the occasion of the first Constitution Day, which Nepal is celebrating on Monday. The US President wrote to his Nepali counterpart President Bidya Devi Bhandari on the eve of Constitution anniversary to extend his wishes, according to a statement issued by the US Embassy in Kathmandu. In his message, Obama said, “On this auspicious day, I want to assure you that the United States remains committed to advancing our relationship and helping Nepal achieve a brighter future, including the growth of Nepal’s hydropower potential, the development of its infrastructure, and the pursuit of justice for all affected by the tragic conflict.”
